Terms of Service

Effective Date: 14 June 2026

Welcome to 声 (Shēng), a product of Flexi Lab. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Definitions

  • "Service" refers to 声 (Shēng), an online audio guestbook platform.
  • "Host" is a user who creates and manages an event.
  • "Guest" is a person invited by a Host to submit a recording.
  • "Event" refers to a collection space created by a Host to receive and store audio recordings.
  • "Content" refers to any audio, text, or materials submitted to the Service.
  • "We", "us", "our" refers to Flexi Lab.

2. Overview

声 (Shēng) is a modern audio guestbook platform. Hosts create events for occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and celebrations, and invite Guests to leave voice messages from anywhere in the world. These recordings are collected and later accessed as curated memories by the Host.

3. Accounts

To use the Service, you must provide accurate information, including your name and payment details if applicable.

You are responsible for:

  • maintaining the security of your account
  • all activity under your account
  • ensuring Guests are invited appropriately to your Event

Guests may be required to provide a name when submitting recordings.

4. Payments & Refunds

声 (Shēng) is billed per Event based on a selected capacity tier (e.g. 25, 50, 100, or 200 messages).

  • The 25-message tier is free
  • Users may create up to three (3) free Events under this tier
  • Higher tiers or additional Events require a one-time payment per event

Payments are charged upfront when the Event is created.

All payments are processed securely by third-party payment providers.

Refunds: Payments are generally non-refundable once an Event is created and capacity is allocated, except where required by law, or in cases of a confirmed platform error that prevented Event creation or recording submission (as determined by our support team).

5. Content & Permissions

You retain ownership of your Content.

By submitting Content, you grant 声 (Shēng) a limited, non-exclusive license to:

  • store, process, and display the Content
  • make it available to the Host and authorized participants within the Event
  • operate, maintain, and provide the Service

Guests acknowledge that their recordings may be stored and played back within the context of the Event as controlled by the Host.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to submit Content that is unlawful, abusive, defamatory, harassing, threatening, explicit, or infringes on third-party rights.

Hosts are responsible for their Events and for ensuring Guests are appropriately informed about the recording and submission of audio.

We may remove Content or suspend Events that violate these Terms.

7. Privacy & Data

Our collection, use, and handling of personal data is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. We comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).

8. Service Availability

We aim to keep the Service running reliably but do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

We are not responsible for:

  • downtime or service interruptions
  • data loss due to technical failures
  • issues caused by third-party providers

9. Limitation of Liability

We will do our best to keep 声 (Shēng) running reliably. If the Service is unavailable or recordings are lost due to a fault on our end, we will refund the full amount you paid for the affected Event.

However, we are not responsible for:

  • downtime, data loss, or service interruptions caused by third-party providers we rely on (such as hosting, storage, or payment processors)
  • issues arising from events beyond our reasonable control (such as natural disasters, internet outages, or changes in law)
  • disputes between Hosts and Guests
  • any indirect or consequential losses (such as lost opportunities or emotional distress)

To the maximum extent permitted by law, 声 (Shēng) is provided "as is" and "as available."

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or if we reasonably believe your use harms the Service or other users.

We will provide reasonable notice where practicable. We may act without prior notice only in cases of imminent harm, legal obligation, or serious violation of these Terms.

Upon termination, you will have 30 days to export your Content, after which it may be deleted.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time.

We will notify users via email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.

Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.

No third party has rights to enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act.
